What causes pigmentation?
Pigmentation is caused by excess melanin production triggered by sun exposure, hormonal changes (including pregnancy), inflammation from acne, and skin injuries.
Can pigmentation be permanently removed?
Pigmentation can be significantly improved with clinical treatments, but maintenance is often required as underlying triggers (particularly sun exposure) can cause recurrence.
